Third Annual Bowl-a-thon
MANKATO, Minn. - Kids Against Hunger in association with Brown & Brown will be continuing the third annual Bowl-a-ton to help raise money for the relief efforts in Haiti and around the world.
The Bowl-a-thon will be on May 14, 2010, at the Wow! Zone located in Mankato. Everyone from the community is invited to attend.
Last year the Bowl-a-thon raised about $9,525, this year the goal is to raise $23,000 which will provide meals for 100,000 children. The money raised will go directly toward purchasing the ingredients necessary to provide starving children with a nutritious meal.
The bowl-a-thon is $150 for a team to participate which includes bowling and equipment rental for your team. It is $250 if a company or group can be a lane sponsor in which the name and logo will be presented on the screens during the event. The time slots availale are 6-7:30 p.m., 8-9:30 p.m. and 10-11:30 p.m. If a company or group would like to be an event sponsor it is $1,000 and it includes name recognition on all print and radio advertising for the event. It is encouraged that each bowler raise $100 to help Kids Against Hunger reach its goal of feeding 100,000 starving children.
The deadline for sign-up and payment is April 30, 2010.
This year we are offering group packaging sessions at Kids Against Hunger if your total company or group contributioin level is $1,500. In additon, any company or group that raises over $1,000 will qualify for a drawing of four lanes in the Wow! Zone VIP room.
