Lindsay a Waste Wise Leader
NORTH MANKATO -
Lindsay Window and Door has been recognized as a Minnesota Waste Wise Leader for its initiatives in environmental sustainability.
The award was presented recently at the Waste Wise annual meeting in St. Paul.
On Monday, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar visited Lindsay to promote tax incentives and other programs aimed at improving energy efficiency in homes and businesses.
Lindsay has reduced trash at is North Mankato location by more than half since 2008 and will see more improvement with new wate prevention and recycling programs. Energy efficiency upgrades are saving the company $7,500 annually.
